Getting From Newark Airport to Brooklyn
Brooklyn is the destination where a car service makes the most obvious difference. There is no direct public transit route from Newark Airport to Brooklyn. Doing it by rail means getting into Manhattan first, changing to the subway, and then travelling back out again — which with luggage turns a reasonable journey into a genuinely unpleasant one.
By car it is straightforward. Depending on your neighborhood and the hour, the drive is typically forty minutes to just over an hour, and it usually avoids Manhattan entirely by crossing Staten Island.
Brooklyn is also a borough where the specific neighborhood matters a great deal to the timing. Bay Ridge is close to the Verrazzano and quick. Williamsburg and Greenpoint sit at the far north end and take longer. We quote against your actual address rather than "Brooklyn".
The Route Across Staten Island
The standard approach leaves the airport on the New Jersey Turnpike heading south, crosses the Goethals Bridge into Staten Island, runs across the island on the Staten Island Expressway, and enters Brooklyn over the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge at Bay Ridge. From there the Belt Parkway or the Gowanus Expressway carries you to your neighborhood.
This route is popular precisely because it bypasses Manhattan traffic and the Hudson tunnels. It holds up well during weekday peaks, when going through the city would be considerably slower.
For northern Brooklyn — Williamsburg, Greenpoint and parts of Bushwick — a route through Manhattan and over the Williamsburg Bridge is sometimes faster outside peak hours. Your chauffeur will make that judgment on the day.
Tolls and charges on this route
Most Brooklyn transfers cross the Goethals Bridge into Staten Island and then the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge into Bay Ridge, which avoids Manhattan entirely. Some northern Brooklyn destinations are quicker through a Hudson crossing and across Manhattan when traffic allows. Both routes involve tolls set by the Port Authority and the MTA respectively, and these are pass-through charges rather than fees we set. Congestion pricing does not apply unless the route passes through Manhattan below 60th Street.

Choosing a Vehicle for This Route
Brooklyn transfers frequently involve residential addresses with narrow streets and limited standing room, which makes an executive sedan the practical choice for one or two passengers. Families and travelers with several checked bags should book a full-size SUV. For groups of seven or more, a Sprinter van is the sensible option — splitting a group across multiple cars on this route tends to mean arrivals spread across half an hour, because traffic on the Verrazzano approach is unpredictable.

Your vehicle is assigned before you land.
A reserved car does not depend on how many drivers happen to be near the terminal when you clear baggage claim, and it does not reprice itself because your flight arrived during a busy hour.
The rate is fixed when you book.
You approve a flat rate in advance. Traffic, delays and the day of the week do not change it afterwards.
We track the flight, not the schedule.
Early landings and delays are adjusted automatically. You do not need to contact us from the jet bridge.
